WHAT'S UP?

1

Community Garden

We have three garden plots located in Burlington County.  Two plots are accessible and contain a large variety of spices and vegetables, wind chimes, butterfly house and rain gauge.

The third plot is a ground plot which is staked out for safe walking and contains vegetables and flowers as well as a Gnome garden, rain and wind chimes.  Part of our garden is designated as a "Victory Garden" from which food and flowers are donated.

Community Based Leisure

We are always in search of inclusive community based leisure opportunities.

In the past, we have taken classes in our local community at bakeries and pottery stores.  We also plan breakfast, lunch and dinners at unique restaurants, attend sporting events, hold fundraisers and enjoy the occasional scenic train ride.

We hold a weekend at the beach every summer and go on a camping trip each autumn.

2

Bi-Monthly Dinners

Dinners are held every other week.  We welcome a variety of members of our community year round.

Guests have included pet-therapists, first responders, communication training, music nights, game nights and extended family members.

In the summer, we hold cooking classes which incorporate produce and spices grown in our garden.

5

Community Based Recreation

We love staying active and always plan unique recreational sports activities.

We have sponsored tennis, frisbee, volleyball, football, basketball, tennis golf, swimming and driving range events.  We also sponsor two recreation weekends a year.

3

Bi-Monthly  Employment Training

In autumn 2014 we began to incorporate employment based training as it relates to our cottage industry. We run an Etsy site, attend craft fairs, conferences, walks and have 5 locations offering our Boston Soy candle line and hand crafted goods.  To find out where our items are available visit the "Donate" page.  We create favors for weddings, showers and fundraisers.  3 of our 5 core members also work in their local communities.

6

Community Based Employment & Internships

We continually look for community based employment, internship and volunteer opportunities.

We do a variety of jobs including house sitting, pet sitting, plant watering (outside and inside), gardening, autumn cleanup, errands, etc....all on a volunteer or donation basis.
